If we had one word to describe Tulum it would be—magical. The pared-back beauty and energy of the land and water permeates everyone and everything it touches, it’s hard to describe.

We’re excited to invite our friends and family to celebrate our love in this special place and grateful that we get to experience the magic together.

We’re so excited to host everyone at our welcome party and wedding ceremony at Mahayana.

When we thought about bringing our favorite people together, in one of our favorite places, we knew we wanted to find a place in the heart of Tulum. A place where we could hold intimate, beautiful events and give our guests a chance to experience all that Tulum has to offer—Mahayana is the perfect spot. Mahayana’s beautiful beach location has an easy going vibe and the palm-covered property offers a range of spaces for our events, from an indoor/outdoor pool to a relaxed rooftop.

Hartwood

When we visited Hartwood this past February to discuss our wedding reception the staff welcomed us with open arms. They curated a best-of-the-best list for us from their daily menu which is based between the land and the sea—fresh ceviche, roasted beets with avocado-habanero cream, endless fresh fish, and their famous overnight braised-pork roasted with dark honey.

The warmth, kindness, and genuine gratitude they showed us for allowing them to be a part of our big day reminded us why we’re so grateful and excited to host our friends and family at Hartwood for an unforgettable evening under the stars.

“You’re right in the jungle. There’s no roof, no walls, just a little bit of electricity. At dusk and into the starry night, the place transmits an energy that’s hard to describe: Desmond Dekker on the sound system, and cocktails of mezcal mixed with fresh-squeezed juices keep coming your way.”
